The Monroeville Mall is currently occupied, doing very well, so technically does not count as
a dead mall now. However, it's probably the most famous dead mall in american history and deserves and honorable mention, as weirdos like me are likely to come looking for it. People make pilgrimages to this location and scout out the scenes from the movie.
